CINDY L. DICKINSON, B.A, LLB
Cindy attended Brock University in St. Catharines where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree (with distinction) in Political Science/Administrative Studies in 1990. Cindy received her Bachelor of Laws degree in 1993 from the University of Windsor. She was the recipient of the John H. Rodd Award for Conflicts and the Robert H. Wilson Memorial Award. Cindy was called to the Bar in 1995.
In 1995, Cindy was one of three Ontario lawyers who received the Harold G. Fox Education Fund Scholarship. She spent one year as a barrister's pupil at Middle Temple, Inns of Court in London, England.
Cindy's practice involves civil litigation including all aspects of insurance law, municipal liability, construction negligence claims, motor vehicle liability, occupier's liability and professional negligence; accident benefits claims, including priority disputes and loss transfer; employment law, including wrongful dismissal claims, human rights complaints and contractual issues. Cindy is certified as an arbitrator by the ADR Institute of Ontario and is a Deputy Judge, Small Claims Court.
Cindy is a member of the Waterloo Law Association, the Canadian Bar Association, Canadian Defence Lawyers, the Advocates Society, the ADR Institute of Ontario and the Ontario Deputy Judges Association. She has an ongoing interest in Conflict Resolution and has earned her certificate in Conflict Management: Negotiation & Mediation, Levels One and Two.
